A Cannabis Company that Cares
We have robust community programs at every location designed to support and reflect the diverse and unique communities we are honored to serve. From beach cleanups in Marina Del Rey, Addressing Food insecurity in North Hollywood, to supporting our LGBTQ+ Seniors.
Our staff is inspired by connecting with our communities hands-on. We offer our customers several ways to get involved and contribute throughout the year.
Black History Month is a time to celebrate Black beauty, pride, excellence and the significant contributions of the Black community but it is also a time to reflect on how we can collectively commit to fighting for justice and equality 365 days a year.
MMD is celebrating PRIDE Month by partnering with LGBTQ+ Cannabis brands and industry leaders to raise funds and awareness for incredible nonprofits that are dedicated to celebrating, protecting, and uplifting the LQBTQ+ community.
420 2022 marked the inaugural 420 MMD crawl! Customers were invited to not only enjoy all of our community’s amazing deals, but to stop by ALL 4 of our locations for a chance to win tickets to the first ever Green Street Festival 2022.
MMD celebrated Women’s History Month 2022 with female owned brands Kush Queen, Autumn, Kikoko, Level, Pure Beauty and Yummi Karma. In partnership with Yummi Karma, MMD donated feminine hygiene products to local women effected by homelessness, victims of domestic violence and abuse, and other underserved communities.
Little Matron is a cannabis brand dedicated to helping our community. Little Matron is created by and sold exclusively at MMD Shops. Inspired by MMD’s founders’ Steve and Michael Ashbels’ close relationship with their grandmother who passed away from cancer. Cannabis is legal because it heals. It is effective palliative care for Cancer, HIV+AIDS, PTSD, ALS and other debilitating conditions. A portion of all sales from Little Matron will go to non-profits fighting for cures, treatment, and better health outcomes for all. This year’s recipient is The ALS Association Golden West Chapter. We are proud to partner with our first non-profit partner, Ignite the Fight and Camp Lamon.
ITF’s mission is to walk alongside families during and after the cancer experience in offering both tangible resources and emotional support. Camp Lamon’s mission is to offer grief camp experiences to support and encourage youth in the healing process after the loss of a loved one to cancer.
